Rehabilitation of a building into apartments following a fire in Seyssel (74)
Following a fire, an old building located in an ABF sector was classified as unsanitary and left abandoned for seventeen years. In collaboration with Barn Architecture, Barymo took care of updating the project design, project studies and carrying out the work.
Located in the hyper center, this building offered great potential for housing. We carried out an elevation in order to increase the floor area.
Technical details:
- Construction of an extension to optimize the floor space for new housing
- Complete overhaul of all networks to make the building classified as unsanitary habitable: plumbing, electricity, VMC
- Change of all exterior joinery to comply with thermal standards
Decorative details:
-Creation of openwork guardrails worked to bring rhythm while letting the light pass through
-Creation of a tiled splashback with a cement tile effect to add a bit of pep to a rather simple kitchen
